What's the purpose of this course?

This course focuses on helping you improve your score on ACT Math using one particular type of calculator (TI-84 Plus CE).

Why should I pay for this course when there is so much free prep material available?

Do you offer a score improvement guarantee?

We cannot guarantee a score improvement, since that depends on many factors. With practice, students using these techniques have improved their ACT Math score from the mid-20's to the lower-30's. A students starting in the lower 30's have been able to improve their ACT Math score.

What are the prerequisites for this course?

  1. Algebra and Geometry. Many of the ACT Math questions cover Algebra and Geometry, so you can benefit most from this course if you have taken a course in each of those subjects. If you have not had those or Algebra 2 and Trigonometry, you will encounter some unfamiliar concepts. However, you can use these topics to make a list of what to study. The ACT tests concepts through Algebra 2 and basic Trigonometry, and includes complex numbers, probability, statistics, vectors, and matrices.
  2. You need to have the TI-84 Plus CE calculator. There are earlier, similar versions such as The TI-84 Plus, the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, and the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition. But for this course we will use the TI-84 Plus CE.

How much time does this course require?

There are multiple explanation videos, mostly under 10 minutes each. We estimate several hours to finish all the videos and lessons. You may wish to spend time outside of the course brushing up on key topics and improving your knowledge of fundamental concepts.
